The early years of teaching can be painful.

While your teaching program may have trained you well, there’s a lot that you can only learn on the job. Brandon Oliger learned many of these lessons the hard way, and he’s here to help you navigate the challenges of those first few years.

Teacher Pains covers the “Big Four” of teaching, as well as all the little things teachers wish they would have known about sooner, giving new educators a leg up as they bravely traverse their first years in a complicated, challenging field.

Brandon G. Oliger

Brandon G. Oliger is a painfully average educator who cares a whole lot about his faith, family, students, and colleagues. He has taught middle school and high school classes for over a decade in the Peoria, Illinois area.

Brandon earned his Bachelor’s in Education from Cedarville University and a Master’s in Academic Administration from Illinois State University. When he’s not teaching, you can find him spending time with family, playing guitar, or obsessing over anything sci-fi.
